Terms and Conditions – Building Souq Qatar

Welcome to Building Souq — your trusted online marketplace for building materials in Qatar.

By purchasing from or accessing our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing any order.

1. Return & Exchange Policy

• Goods may be returned or exchanged within 7 days from the date of purchase or delivery, provided that:

  • The items are unused, uninstalled, and undamaged.

  • They remain in their original packaging with all accessories and documentation.

  • The original invoice is presented.

• Non-returnable / Non-exchangeable items include (but are not limited to):

  • Tiles or sanitaryware that have been installed or partially installed.

  • Custom-made or special-order products.
    

  • Clearance items sold “as-is.”

• Requests for return or exchange are subject to inspection and approval by Building Souq’s Quality Team. A restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and condition.

• Returns will not be accepted for damages or defects reported after installation, or if the product shows signs of mishandling, improper storage, or modification.

2. Damages & Defects

• Customers are advised to inspect all items carefully at the time of delivery or collection.

• Claims for visible damages or shortages must be reported within 3 calendar days of delivery, supported by clear photographic evidence.

Covered under claims:

• Manufacturing defects only (as confirmed by supplier/manufacturer).

Not covered:

• Damages due to poor handling, incorrect installation, misuse, or site negligence.

• Natural variations in shade, color, texture, or finish for tiles, stones, wood, or other natural products.

• For tile orders below 50 sqm, any damages must be reported on the same day of delivery.

• For tile orders above 50 sqm, damages must be reported within 3 days of delivery.

Once installation begins, the customer is deemed to have accepted the product’s quality and appearance. Claims related to shade, bending, or finish after installation will not be accepted.

3. Warranty Terms

• Warranties are governed strictly by the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

• Warranty covers manufacturing defects only; it excludes:

  • Damage due to misuse, mishandling, improper installation, or impact.

  • Consumables such as hoses, cartridges, washers, or accessories.

  • Sanitary hoses, rubber parts, or electrical plugs.

• For water heaters, warranty applies only to tank leakage within the specified period.

• All warranty claims must be accompanied by:

  • Original purchase invoice,

  • Photographic evidence, and

  • Installation proof (if applicable).

Building Souq reserves the right to verify and reject any warranty claim found inconsistent with manufacturer standards.

4. Refund Policy

• Approved refunds will be issued within 30 working days via bank transfer or cheque only.

• Cash refunds are not permitted.

• Refund amount may exclude:

  • Delivery or installation charges, and

  • Restocking or inspection fees (if applicable).

5. Storage of Goods

• Goods must be collected or scheduled for delivery within 30 days from the invoice date.

• Beyond this period, storage fees of QAR 25 per sqm/month will apply.

• After 90 days, Building Souq reserves the right to release, resell, or dispose of uncollected goods without further notice. Any refundable balance will be adjusted after deducting applicable charges.

6. Delivery & Installation

• Delivery dates provided are approximate and subject to stock availability and logistics schedules.

• Customers are responsible for ensuring site readiness and access for delivery.

• Building Souq shall not be held liable for delays caused by:

  • Site inaccessibility,

  • Gate pass restrictions,

  • Incomplete address details, or

  • Force majeure events.

• Delivery does not include installation unless specifically mentioned in the order or quotation.

7. Product Information & Variations

• Product descriptions, images, and technical details shown on our website are provided in good faith. However, minor variations in color, size, texture, or finish may occur due to manufacturing tolerances or display settings.

• Such variations will not constitute a defect or ground for return.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Building Souq’s total liability shall be limited to the value of the product purchased.

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including but not limited to installation costs, labor charges, project delays, or loss of profit.

• Customers are responsible for verifying the fitness, quantity, and suitability of materials before installation or use.

9. Payment Terms

• All goods remain the property of Building Souq until full payment is received.

• In case of non-payment, Building Souq reserves the right to:

  • Withhold delivery,

  • Cancel warranty support, or

  • Dispose of undelivered goods after due notice.

• Payment once made is considered final and non-transferable unless approved by management.

10. Force Majeure

Building Souq shall not be responsible for any delay, loss, or non-performance resulting from circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters,

• Transport or customs delays,

• Strikes, lockouts, or labor disputes,

• Political unrest or government restrictions, or

• Supply chain disruptions.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Doha, Qatar.
